We all want to hear God speak to us. Communication is one of the most important aspects of any relationship. In his final sermon before he died, Martin Luther said, "If anyone would hear God speak, let him read sacred Scripture." How does God speak to us? Don't Google that question! I'm convinced that there is significant confusion about this question. Multitudes of books have been written and multitudes of teachings have been presented on how to listen to God, and the vast majority of them, it seems, elevate experience over what the Scriptures actually say. This video, which rambles around several points, highlights the value of God's Word, raises some questions about how we think about God's guidance, and touches on what it means to "read sacred Scripture" in order to hear God's voice.
